Hanyu 2000 Seven of Clubs is a highly desirable release from Ichiro Akuto's iconic Card Series, one of the most celebrated and collectible whisky collections ever produced. Distilled in 2000 at the now-closed Hanyu Distillery and bottled in 2008 from single cask #7004, this exceptional single malt was initially matured in a Hogshead before being re-racked into an American Oak Hogshead, adding further depth and character to the whisky.

DETAILS & COLLECTIBILITY
Representing the Seven of Clubs playing card, this release was limited to just 345 bottles, of which this bottle is individually numbered 71. Like all Card Series expressions, it originates from the remaining Hanyu casks rescued by Ichiro Akuto following the distillery's closure, preserving a unique chapter of Japanese whisky history that can never be recreated.
The Seven of Clubs is particularly appreciated by collectors for its combination of rarity, provenance and historical importance. As complete Card Series sets become increasingly difficult to assemble, individual bottlings continue to attract strong international demand from enthusiasts and investors alike.
Widely regarded as one of the defining collectible Japanese whisky releases of the modern era, the Hanyu Seven of Clubs represents both an outstanding example of Hanyu's lost distillery character and a highly sought-after addition to any serious whisky collection.
