Introduced as a prestige-level expression, Johnnie Walker Premier combined exceptionally mature malt and grain whiskies selected from the company’s finest reserves. The expression was designed to compete within the ultra-premium Scotch whisky category and quickly became known for its refined packaging, luxurious presentation and remarkably smooth profile.

The distinctive rounded decanter bottle with silver-toned stopper and braided neck cord gave Premier a far more luxurious appearance than the traditional square Johnnie Walker range. These decanters were frequently sold through luxury retailers, travel retail and exclusive export channels during the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Examples retaining the original presentation box, stopper, booklet and authentication certificate are increasingly difficult to source and highly desirable among collectors of premium vintage Scotch whisky.
